The guidelines below will help you understand what is accepted and what is not accepted into our Exam Materials information database. All guidelines may be strictly enforced and failure to adhere to them may result in your articles being declined, deleted or your account banned - with or without notification.
1. All articles should be the copyright of the person submitting them. This means it should be original content either written by you or where you have outsourced the writing but own the full copyright.
2. Multiple article variations by the same author are not welcomed. This includes spun articles and PLR articles where copyright is not an issue.
3. Each article should be informative in its own right and contain some useful information. This means it should not be a blatant advertisement, press release, sales letter or be self-promotional in excess.
4. All articles should be written in proper English. This means it should be grammatically correct and flow easily. Articles should be spellchecked, but there is no problem with American or British spelling as long as it is consistent throughout the article.
5. All articles must be suitable for a family audience. This means no article is allowed to contain pornagraphic references, adult material, racial intolerance, religious intolerance or promote illegal drugs.
6. All articles must be on topic. If articles are off-topic they will be deleted and the author banned. Only Exam related articles will be accepted.
7. No article may contain any content that may be viewed as defamatory or libelous or that infringes the copyright or legal rights of another entity.
8. No article is allowed to contain a personal email address. Similarly, author names as email addresses will not be permitted. This is to protect your privacy as much as to establish a professional appearance and authority status.
9. All articles should be properly formatted without excessive bolding, italics or underlines.
Article Format:
Article Title:
The title for any article should be the most important thing for you to consider. It should accurately reflect the topic that you are writing about and should ideally contain between 2 - 10 words. The title cannot be in all capital letters although each important word in the title may start with a capital letter. A title for your article is mandatory if you wish to have it accepted and published.
Article Keywords:
The keywords for your article should be related to the main article topic. The keywords can be used to help locate the article in the search available from this site and therefore must appear in your article. The article keywords are optional and MUST be a MAXIMUM of 5 keyword phrases.
Article Topic:
Please select the most appropriate topic as failure to do so could result in the submission being rejected. If a specific topic is not available then please choose the closest associated category and submit it for approval. ExamMaterials.com staff reserve the right to move any article to a more suitable topic. A topic is mandatory to be able to submit articles.
Article Summary:
The article summary should be no more than 250 characters (not 250 words), and should accurately sum up the entire content of the article. The first 2 sentences of your article may be used as a summary - anything longer than 3 sentences will be cut down to 3 sentences at a maximum or may cause the article to be rejected.
Please do not simply repeat the title or use all capitals as this can result in the article being rejected. The article summary is also important for people using the search facility as this is generally what people will see in the search results. It is therefore essential to accurately summise your main article if you wish - the summary is optional.
Article Content:
The content of all articles submitted must be the authors own work. No outgoing links will be permitted in the main article content unless it is to an established authority site (not an affiliate site). Links may be included IF they are highly relevant to the subject and link to other existing articles on ExamMaterials.com. Authors who deliberately include execessive links will not have their article published, or they may have the links edited out.
The ideal content length of any article will be between 400 and 800 words. The absolute minimum content length is 250 words. Authors must remember to use proper grammar and sentence fluidity to ensure they retain the readers' interest. If an article is unclear and full of spelling mistakes, it will make reading it very difficult and may be rejected.
All articles should be in english and be written with the reader in mind. Any outgoing links should only be pointed at active webpages, preferably the main domain of the site in question.
Some html tags are allowed in the body of each article. However, these are restricted to the following:
* <b>BOLD</b>
* <i>ITALICS</i>
* <u>UNDERLINE</u>
* <a href="your-site-url">url link</a>
About Author:
The author section should be written in the third person. Instead of I work on xyz website, it should be more along the lines of Authorname is a full time consultant for xyz website. A maximum of two outbound links will be permitted in this section and in the case where more than two links are submitted, editors will use only the first two links after removing the excess.
The about author section can also be written in the form of a conclusion to the article where a maximum of 2 self-serving links will be permitted.
Authors who continually submit articles with excessive promotional links will have their article submissions automatically declined without review. The emphasis for ExamMaterials.com is quality over quantity.
