Online CPR Certification

Submitted by: TigerEye

Those looking for online CPR certification should take a look at this comprehensive article on the subject. If you are interested in this type of certification, there are places online where you can get it done for free.

Recently a person posted online that that they got their CPR certification done online but had to do the hands-on section in real life. This is the final part of getting certified and can be done at various institutions. The Red Cross is one such place to get your real life training after you complete the web exam. The city of Sacramento, California has a service called "Star CPR" that has online courses for those who wish to start their exam. They give personal lessons after people take their online certification.

The actual hands-on needs to be seen and graded by a real trainer. Do not think you can get the whole certification online. It just is not possible. If you think about it, would you want someone trying to revive you after you had a heart attack and their only experience was an online test ? Probably not.

Online CPR certification is a great way to begin to get familiar with what will be required of you if you choose to go into Emergency Rescue service. You will need to know not just the basic steps of CPR but also the advanced steps. If you want to be a fireman online training is also going to be valuable to you. If you just have elderly people around you during the day, it is handy to know CPR. Saving a life is perhaps the most important job in the world. If this is your job and you know your job well, you will be one of the most important people in the world.

Online certification is not that expensive in most places. Some places that offer offline certification are charging $300 dollars. Some places charge $40 dollars. As you can tell, there is a wide range of fees. This type of certification is rejected by many places, so even if you pay the $20 dollars to a website, there is no guarantee that you will be able to use those new credentials anywhere. Be sure that you can use the diploma or whatever you get from a website out in the real world before you give anyone online money.

The last thing to remember is to simply use good common sense. If you do happen to use a website to get an online CPR certification, make sure they have your contact information.

Make sure they are going to send you something in the postal mail. Just getting an email with a cheap graphic is not going to impress anyone. Get something that you can be proud to show someone. If you can say; "Hey ! Look at my CPR certification !", then you take some satisfaction in your efforts. Remember, you are studying to save someone's life. You have a very worthwhile goal to accomplish. If looking online is your last choice, then do it. But more than likely, you can just attend the local Red Cross class and get the real thing for less money.
