The folks at this training institute will be able to show applicants more about the special requirements for jobs in Florida. This involves the "Florida CILB". That is the "Construction Industry Licensing Board" for the state of Florida. If you do not happen to live in this state, make sure to check out the government rules for your particular state for regulations concerning your job.

Sign up for a Certified Pool Technician course online with the Aquatic Training Institute. It will cost a good chunk of change, about $330 dollars. They will accept a cheque or a credit card. When enrolling at their site you will need a username and password. Write them down and keep them in place where you know you can find them later.

As you learn about these topics, it may be good to get some experience by working with a company that is already involved in pool service and maintenance. Getting some hours of work under your belt is going to give you an advantage over just "hitting the books".

The fourteen hour course offered by the Aquatic Institute mentioned above will satisfy much of what will be required of you. If you happen to fail their ten question exam, you will be allowed to re-take the exam immediately. This is the way exams should be run, thankfully this one is done right. Here are of the things their study package will have in it :
