Education, Knowledge and Trainings Required
If you are an aspiring cultural adviser or bilingual consultant, you should opt to focus on subjects such as business, speech, foreign language, and social sciences as early as high school. It is a requirement to have fluency in two or more languages. The minimun requirement to become one is a possession of at least two language courses or certifications on these, and other courses of choice such as those in business, geography, world history or sociology.

The type of work a bilingual consultant has is primarily indoor and in multiple locations where he/she is needed.
The goal of every interaction with the client it to always promote communication and cultural understanding as they bridge the gaps in languages and several aspects in their cultures. Aside from doing language teaching or promoting language familiarization by way of teaching and translating workds, phrases and sentences, bilingual consultants also facilitate business transactions. They may be the one to present the marketing plans of a business proposal or may be assigned to orient the workers in safety procedures and worker's rights and privileges. In short, the tasks vary according to the nature of the projects the consultant chose to focus on.
Earnings and Job Outlook
Most of the cultural advisers work on and are being paid on an hourly basis. Sa rate of salary starts off from 65 dollars per hour to 265 dollars per hour. The job outlook is also predicted to be good and will grow faster than the average. This is due to the increased globalization and the openness of many countries to legal immigration. As a result, many language and cultural barriers are in need to be settled.
