How to become a computer technician

If you are wanting to become a computer technician, one of the most basic exams you'd have to take would be the A+ exam
The A+ exam (awarded by CompTIA) is not that hard to achieve. If you know your way around a computer and know what the components are, chances are you could pass it just by the law of averages. But, personally, I would spend a couple of months hammering through the material. With this type of test, read, try some sample exams & repeat. You don't have to be skilled in anything prior to taking it as there are no pre-requisites for the exam. However, you must pass 2 (two) exams to get the whole certification. One is a Core Hardware Exam and the other is an Operating Systems exam.
Well, I guess there is one requirement, cash! the fact the the exam costs between $90 and $225, depending what type of membership you have, if any.
Passing this exam can get you into many computer job related doors. If you had this exam with just a couple of months experience at it, you can find a job easier than someone with no experience, trust me on that, I've been there!
The tests are adaptive meaning the next question is based on your previous answer.

There are plenty of books, sample exams, online preps etc out there and it can be hard to find the right one that gives you what you need. So with that in mind,
